Strahovská knihovna - Strahov Library

The Strahovský klášter, or Strahov Monastery is the gift that keeps on giving.  One of the major attractions of the monastery is the library.  I didn't go into a lot of detail about the two main rooms in the library since the characters weren't able to spend much time looking at them.  However, they are breathtaking in their beauty.

This is Philosophical Hall, the first room they looked into.

Theological Hall.  You have no idea how much I want to visit this place.

And the guy that Agent Barstow shoved.

A couple of other pictures to share.

Strahovský klášter

Yes, there really is a Strahovský klášter, or Strahov Monastery, and no I didn't know about it when I started this story.  I didn't even know about it when I started researching Prague.  And then, there it was, just waiting for me to find it.  To be honest, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the name.  It was like a gift from above.

Here are some exterior pictures.  I'll reveal more information about the monastery in next week's chapter when I'll share more pictures.

Also, for those of you who are interested in the scene from The Magic Flute where Papageno and Papagena sing their awesome and wonderful duet, this is the video to watch.

Prague

Ah, Prague.  What a charming and fantastic city.  I know my words cannot do justice to how wonderful this city is, so I hope these pictures will suffice.

Prague Castle.  St. Vitus Cathedral is in the center.

The rose window.

The nave of St. Vitus Cathedral.

The Chapel of St. Wenceslaus

And his skull.

View of Prague from the Old Royal Palace.

Franz Kafka's residence on the Golden Lane.

So many Barbies.

 There are just no words.

Why?

Star Wars!

Dun dun dun.
